I am trying to modify a User Defined Action which has been promoted to the server farm level. I read that you need to export the UDA from Central Administration and Import it at the site level to modify it which I have done. What do I do at this point? I tried promoting it back to the farm level but it just made a second UDA with the same name instead of updating the original one. I also tried importing the UDA in Central Administration but again, it just created a second UDA. Is it possible to actually update the existing UDA at the farm level and have the change take effect in running workflows which use the UDA or do I have to delete the original UDA and update the reference in all the workflows that used it?
