About License and CA

Hi,

I have a question about the Nintex workflow License.

Although I'm also agree that the Nintex License is counted by # of WFE, but one of our key developer  insists that only CA require license. He can run Nintex on multiple SP servers in a farm (2 VMs) with only one License with the CA's hostname.

I'm not a Nintex professional and doesn't have any experience on installing Nintex workflow license, so can't figure out this is right or not.

His point is:

1) He can't find a way to install a license with multiple hostname (he tried, but couldn't find a way to do it).

2) It is no problem to installing and activating Nintext workflow on two WFEs (with different hostnames), and what he did is:

    * Originally, we have only one machine (on VM), installed with MSSQL , SharePoint 2013, and run a site on it with Nintext Workflow 2013.
      This site URL is http://hq.mydomain.com:8080/Nintex

    * There is certainly no license issue with this VM because the hostname is listed in license.

    * Now new site is needed to provide workflow function to the office in another geo-location. So we decide to spearate them from the first one.
Now we create a new site as http://sd.mydomain.com:8081/Nintex (noted, the FQDN and port are different from the first one)

    * The way to make 2nd site Nintex enable is :
Create the site on the first host machine, activate Nintex on it
Then change cluster configuration to move this stie running on another VM.

    * The above practice really can be done, so it is legal.

I know my post may sound very weird and you may ask me to send a mail to official support. Yes, but I don't have enough time to get information from our legal team and  I really need to know whether this is legally acceptable practice and then plan the purchase more license immediately. You know, it is end of year, many project is scheduled go on line next week.

Thanks for any help
