Replacing workflows with powershell?

Hello,

I am after some advice if this can be done and any help/ Guidance/ links would be greatly appreciated

I have a training site with a lot (150-200) of sub sites for each course the training team run, in each of these sub-sites is a list with a workflow on it, the course sites where created from a template and the same generic (non-working) workflow added on from a web service upon site creation.

There is a flaw that was not captured in user testing and the workflow needs changing, I really don’t want to go into each sub-site (course) one by one and correct the error due to someone inadequately testing this workflow process, that would take a seriously long time. is there a way, possibly using PowerShell to get all of the workflows with a certain name from all the course sites,  remove them, then push a new (working) workflow to each list on each sub-site ??

I hope this makes sense

Jamie
