I am in the process of testing Nintex Workflow 2013 with a on-prem installation. I am able to create and start a very simple one-two step state machine workflow. I tried to do a simple three tier approval workflow based on the instructions in the "2010 How to Create a simple state machine workflow" found here: http://nintexdownload.com/SL/supportfiles/Using%20State%20Machine%20workflows%202010.pdf . When I go to manually start the workflow it gets hung on the starting phase. Eventually I will get an email saying that the workflow couldn't start. I have checked and changed various actions to make sure that the states were properly referenced, etc, but I have had no luck.
What am I missing here?
