Preface: I'm a developer by accident and have not had any formal HTML/CSS training, so bear with me if my question sounds quite simple.
I'm thinking that there has to be a better way (than I'm doing it) to format workflow task notification emails and task response forms. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the task form or emails to use an external or internal CSS for formatting. When I insert an internal style tag, the Nintex actions seems to ignore the style and I can only seem to get inline CSS to work which is very tedious and inefficient. I've tried simple broad stroke styles and class styles and cannot seem to get it to work. The recipients of these emails and tasks want a specific formatting with tables and branding images/colors.
As far as SharePoint forms go for the task response, inline styles and tables don't seem to work very well either and I must be missing something.
Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
