How do I differentiate a Nintex task from a SharePoint task if both types of tasks are stored in the same task list?

To differentiate between the two tasks, you can make the content type field visible and you should be able to distinguish which ones are Nintex created tasks by the content type names. Most will be something like "Nintex Workflow Task".
