Drop Down Choice

Hi

I've added a Choice control (drop-down) to a form and connected it to the SharePoint list. In edit mode, I can choose a field from the drop down (contained in control) and this updates the list as expaected. The problem is that the control always displays the wrong value, the value in the list is not the correct value in the Choice control. How can this be corrected?
